Conversion Necks

Conversion Neck Comparison

Scale length is the distance between the nut and the saddle, or the active string length. The traditional Fender® scale length is 25-1/2".

Conversion necks are a Warmoth innovation that allow you to easily change the scale length of a 25-1/2" scale guitar to either 24-3/4" (the typical Gibson® length) or 28-5/8" (Baritone length). If you are a long-time Les Paul® player that just can't get comfortable on a Tele®, the 24-3/4" Conversion neck is your ticket. If you are a country or modern metal player that uses lowered tunings like A or C, the 28-5/8" Baritone Conversion neck will have your existing axe sounding like Barry White in no time.

Because conversion necks work by extending or reducing scale length at the nut end, the bridge does not need to be repositioned. Only an intonation adjustment is required. Conversion necks require no modification to the guitar body and bolt directly on to most common 2-3/16" (56mm) neck pockets, making it easy to choose the scale length that compliments your individual playing style.
