The Alnico 2 Pro Flat delivers all the sweet bell-like tone of the staggered pole model, but has flat pole-pieces that provide better string balance on modern guitars with larger neck radii and lighter gauge strings. The flat poles also give this pickup a little less edge for an even smoother overall tone. Like all Duncan's vintage-style pickups, the bobbins are assembled with the proper color and thickness of hand-filed Forbon flatwork and alnico 2 magnets. The bobbins are then lacquered, and wound with heavy Formvar mag wire. Use with the Alnico II Pro Flat Strat® Middle RWRP pickup in the middle position for matched setup. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA.
