This neck pickup is a faithful recreation of the J Bass® single-coils of the early 60's. It is full sounding, and produces a nice, rich bottom end that's never boomy. Its beautiful warmth balances perfectly with the brighter bridge model. Each one is assembled with period-correct materials, including the correct color and thickness of hand-filed Forbon flatwork, Alnico 5 rod magnets, and cloth push-back wire. It installs easily into any American J Bass®-sized neck rout. Pair it with the Vintage Jazz Bass® bridge model for a perfectly balanced, hum-canceling set. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA.
