Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates, Neck

The Pearly Gates neck captures all the mojo of the original neck pickup from Billy Gibbon's 1959 Les Paul. It is a PAF with a unique tonal character, and more midrange than typical humbuckers from that time. The result is a neck pickup that cuts through with its stronger tailored mids, but still has the open and airy treble attack of the alnico 2 bar magnet. Combined with a warm, spongy low end, this pickup is great for both rhythm and lead playing. Pair with the Pearly Gates bridge model for a classic setup, or match it with a higher output bridge pickup like the Custom Custom for a more aggressive rock setup. Wound on Duncan's original Leesona winding machine from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for that unmistakable vintage mojo. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA.
