Bass Body Binding
Binding is a decorative material applied to the edge of a body to to give it a classy look. Warmoth offers body binding in five materials:

White Body Binding

Black Body Binding

Cream Body Binding

Ivoroid Body Binding

Pearloid Body Binding

Tortoise Body Binding
- Tortoise binding is translucent and looks best over light woods. Over dark woods like Rosewood or Ebony it may appear almost black.
- White Binding darkens to a light cream color when the basecoat for painted bodies is applied. If you are also ordering White Binding on a neck, be aware the two will not match perfectly.
Binding Options
Flat Top Binding

Flat top bodies with square edges are the easiest to bind. Some flat top bodies because of their shape and size are more difficult and expensive to bind.
Drop Top Binding

Drop Top Binding is binding that follows the Forearm Contour shape on a body. A Lam Top is required. Expect a smaller than normal edge radius on the top of the body.
Double Binding

Specific Bass replacement bodies can be bound on both the front and back.
Other Edge Treatments
The edge treatments below are not binding, but serve a similar decorative purpose around the perimeter of the bass body.
Laminate Accent Lines

A Laminate Accent is a contrasting color of wood sandwiched between the Lam Top wood and body wood. Once the body is shaped and sanded, this thin layer forms a perfect line around the perimeter of the Laminate Top.
Masked Accent Line

A Masked Accent Line is created by masking off a line around the perimeter of the bass body during the finishing process. Once the color is sprayed, the mask is removed, leaving a clear line. A Lam Top is required.
