Will it fit my Bass Body?
Warmoth bass parts adhere to Fender's® vintage/original neck-heel and neck-pocket dimensions, except when noted. Many other manufacturers also use these specs, but they are not universal - even among Fender® products. Accurate measurement is the only way to ensure compatibility of parts.
4-String Bass Necks
4-String Bass Neck Pocket
4-String Heels (20 & 21 Frets)
- J Bass® and P Bass® heels and neck pockets have the same measurements and are interchangeable:
- Width = 2-1/2" (63.45 mm)
- Length = 3.875" (98.4 mm)
- Pocket Depth = 5/8" (16 mm)
- Warmoth does not offer bass necks or neck pockets with a squared Tele®-style heel shape.
5-String Bass Necks
Warmoth's Deluxe 5 replacement bass necks adhere to the specs and dimensions of Fender's® original 4-bolt American Deluxe 5 Bass. We do not offer a 5-bolt configuration.

- Width = 2.906" (74 mm)
- Length = 3.94" (100 mm)
- Pocket Depth = 5/8" (16 mm)
J Bass® 5 MIM Bass Necks
The J Bass® 5 MIM neck was patterned after the Fender® Made in Mexico Standard 5 bass.
Other Bass Necks
Warmoth's 30" and 32" Short Scale Bass necks are compatible with Warmoth Short Scale Bass bodies only.
Warmoth's Gecko bass necks are compatible with Warmoth Gecko bodies only.
