The Distortion is Duncan's original high output humbucker. It incorporates a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to deliver well-balanced rock and metal tones that have rich upper midrange harmonic content. Great for hard hitting, crunchy rhythms, and searing lead tone. Riffs are tight and percussive and lead work is fast and immediate, with ultra-clear pick dynamics. Pair with the Jazz neck model for a versatile humbucker setup, or use the Duncan Distortion neck model for a killer high output setup. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA.

- Trembuckers have wider pole piece spacing than standard bridge humbuckers. On guitars with wide-spaced tremolo systems or wide hardtail bridges, this helps the pole pieces align with the strings better. If you’re not sure which spacing your particular guitar requires, simply measure from the center of each of the E strings. We've found that for bridges with a spacing of 2-1/8" or less, Trembuckers are generally not necessary.
