Seymour Duncan Pegasus, Bridge Trembucker
The Pegasus humbucker delivers liquid tones that are the prefect blend of articulation and aggression at a medium output.
The Pegasus humbucker delivers liquid tones that are the prefect blend of articulation and aggression at a medium output.
The Pegasus was originally designed for 7 and 8-string progressive metal, the goal being a balance of warmth and responsiveness. The results were so perfect that 6 string players immediately demanded their own version. It’s a harmonically rich pickup with a prominent midrange and a focused low end. The high resonant peak makes for a sparkly top end and an incredible “bloom” on chords in high-gain situations. The responsive and accurate pick attack ensures that you will cut through any live mix, and will have tight-tracking transients in a studio environment. Because the Pegasus is a moderate output pickup, it also works well for creating lush clean tones.
It features an alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. The trembucker pole spacing ensure the magnets match the string spacing of Floyd Rose and other tremolos.
