Seymour Duncan Five-Two Strat®, Bridge
The Five-Two was designed for Nashville studio players requesting a softer treble attack on their high strings, while retaining an articulate snap on the low strings. Duncan achieved with a mix Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 rod magnets. Alnico 2 rods under the G, B, & E strings provide a sweetened treble response, while the Alnico 5's under the low E, A, & D strings keep them sounding clear and crisp. It also uses hand-filed Forbon flatwork, lacquered bobbins, and a traditional magnet stagger. This bridge version is wound slightly hotter, for full-bodied sustain and a stronger attack. Combine it with the Five-Two neck and Five-Two RWRP middle pickups for a perfectly matched setup. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA.
